ASPEN PARK iMONTESSORI STORY

Aspen Park Montessori is owned by Santiago and Loriann Grado.  Our school opened its doors in January of 2019.  The building was acquired from the previous Montessori School of Conifer, to which we have no affiliation.  Aspen Park Montessori follows the core values and principles established by its owner and director, Santiago Grado.  We believe that it is the educator’s role to help define the best way to unlock the potential in each child.  We therefore offer a stimulating curriculum that explores the needs and desires of each individual child.

Santiago Grado has worked in the educational sector as a teacher, principal, and administrator for close to 30 years.  He has seen the short comings of the public educational system for many years.  As a child and family advocate, Santiago has seen the failure of too many young individuals.  As he so commonly says, “When does a child come to you and says I am here to fail?” “We, as educators, are the ones that fail the child”.  Santiago is passionate about empowering the “whole” individual and has created a program that allows all students to thrive under the right set of conditions.  With a strong passion and desire to make a difference in all lives, he wants to help youth realize their unlimited potential and be champions of their own learning.  Aspen Park Montessori utilizes blended learning styles to provide the best learning environment for your child.  Learn more about blended learning by downloading our Presentation below

2

Content knowledge ceases to be the primary basis of learning.  It becomes a component of higher levels of critical thinking such as inquiry, analysis, synthesis, evaluation, and creation.

3

Student buy-in and ownership are of prime importance.  All teaching strategies shift to facilitation.

4

Fostering a strong, caring relationship that encourages collaboration among staff, students, and parents.

5

A culture that embraces out-of-the-box thinking while supporting the learning process through our failures and successes.

6

By utilizing all components of our curriculum, students are motivated to utilize the various levels of critical thinking and establish a creative ability to problem solve and construct their own solutions.

7

In learning a world language, students are connected to the outside world where they learn culture and communications skills.

8

Innovative Technology is readily available and easy to access.  Computers and technology equipment will be utilized to increase student motivation, creativity, learning, and academic understanding as it pertains to our current world.

How We Work

With our progressive and holistic educational philosophy, we understand that each child has unique needs and interests.  We provide the environment and tools needed to explore the vast opportunities needed for advancement.

When we expose children to different environments and various learning experiences, we allow them to explore their self-identity and gain a sense of the world around them.  Once they leave Aspen Park iMontessori, they’re fully prepared for the next challenge and educational opportunity.
